loved the chill vibe and friendly staff. Amazing activities like yoga and hikes. Breakfast and dinner options were tasty. Great communal areas and clean showers/toilets. A home away from home.
No proper mattresses, smelled like urine.

The room had a cozy vibe with a stovetop, toaster, and microwave, making it feel like my own little kitchen.
Personally, I wasn't a fan of the electric kettle in the twin room.

The atmosphere at Bura Surfhouse was amazing. From the moment we walked in, we felt a warm and welcoming vibe from both the staff and the other guests. It truly felt like a community, where everyone was friendly and inclusive. We had a great time getting to know our fellow travelers and sharing stories over breakfast or during the organized dinners. Speaking of breakfast, it was delicious! We loved starting our day with freshly cooked pancakes and other tasty treats. The shared bathroom was clean and modern, and we appreciated the effort put into maintaining cleanliness throughout the hostel. The room itself was spacious and comfortable, with extra blankets provided to keep us warm at night. We also appreciated the opportunity to join surfing lessons, which added an extra element of fun to our stay.
While the community vibe at Bura Surfhouse was great for socializing, it did mean that the hostel was not the quietest place, especially after 23:00 when quiet time was supposed to start. Some guests were still loud even during the designated quiet hours.

The food options were amazing, especially for vegans. I couldn't get enough of the delicious vegan pancakes. The dinners were also a highlight, with a fun and individual experience. Booking activities at the reception was a breeze, and the surfing was fantastic. The staff were always kind and helpful. The social atmosphere was perfect for solo travelers like myself. I met so many new friends during my stay.
The lack of privacy in the bedrooms could be improved with curtains. It would have been nice to have a little more personal space.
